Orange Public School Reconciliation Week 2023

We held our Reconciliation Week at Friday assembly to reflect on what it means to ‘Be A Voice For Generations’. A massive thank you to Mary Croaker, President of Orange local  AECG Inc. for performing our Acknowledgement of Country.

We were extremely lucky to have an Indigenous inspired dance titled, “Wir-i” performed by former student, Maddison Gwynne; and sisters Milly and Jazzy Hunt from Orange High School. It was truly amazing performance to watch.

We also presented the winners and runner-ups for our whole of school Reconciliation Week Poster competition to showcase our students’ interpretation of this year’s theme, ‘Be a Voice for Future Generations‘.
Our winners will have their posters framed and displayed in our school office. 💙💛

What an amazing, deadly school we all share! 🖤💛❤️

We completed an Acknowledgement of Country each morning during Reconciliation Week. Each class created a banner showing their understanding and commitment to our First Nations People and what it means to ‘be a voice for future generations’. We are so extremely proud of each and everyone of our students.
